Tongass National Forest Targeted for Logging
The Tongass National Forest is a gem among our public lands, containing the largest remaining tracts of temperate rainforest in the world. Now the U.S. Forest Service wants to clear-cut some of the rarest and largest ancient trees in the forest, critical habitat for birds such as the Northern Goshawk and nesting Marbled Murrelets and other wildlife such as wolves and salmon.
Urge your Members of Congress to oppose destructive clear-cutting on our largest National Forests. You can send the sample letter below, or edit with your own words for even greater impact.
NOTE: [Decision Maker] will be replaced with your Representative or Senator's name, and your name and address will automatically be added to the bottom of the letter.
